Winner of the 2008 Robert O’Shea Engineering Ethics Award for Ohio

ASCE Student Chapter and Younger Members

Ryan J. Mahle is the winner of the 2008 Robert O’Shea Engineering Ethics Award for Ohio American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter and Younger Members for his paper “Eminent Domain and the Engineer’s Ethical Responsibilities”. The Ohio Council of ASCE presents this annual award to the author of the paper on engineering ethics judged to be the best of all papers submitted that meet the criteria for the award. The award consists of a certificate and check in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Mahle is a member and past president of the ASCE Student Chapter at Ohio Northern University. Ryan is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and will be graduating in May. During his tenure at Ohio Northern University, Ryan had valuable internship experiences at W. E. Stilson Consulting Group and CTL Engineering, Inc. He will be joining Civil and Environmental Engineering, Inc. after graduation and plans to begin pursuing a master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering in the fall.
