Topic: Engineering New Horizons: Honda and The Power of dreams

Speaker: Clement D’Souza, Engineering Large Project Leader, Honda of America Mfg., Inc.

Clement D’Souza is an engineering large project leader at Honda of America Mfg. currently assigned to the New Model Group for the Acura NSX and the startup of the new Performance Manufacturing Center.

Clement will talk about his experiences working with Honda, in particular,

• Good engineering starts with the willingness, ability, and empowerment to dream. At Honda we believe that dreaming big is the key to success.
• Clement will share what he has learned since he started at Honda, how the challenges he faced in launching mass production products prepared him for the biggest challenge of his professional career - developing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that will build the first-ever produced super sportscar in the United States.
• As the production leader for the NSX project, Clement will explain the thrill in creating an all-new plant to build an all-new super sports car. He will talk about the focus of him and his team on creating a plant that has the perfect synergy between man and machine.
