2011 Ohio Construction Conference – The Changing Economic Landscape in Ohio

The Ohio Construction Conference is pleased to bring relevant business practices and economic issues facing the central Ohio construction community. Using a balance of best practices and risk management strategies, the Conference provides managers an opportunity to network and hear about issues without taking days away from work to attend a program out of state.

The Ohio Construction Conference combines emerging trends with business best practices from around the country. Its breakout seminars and general sessions aim to provoke dialogue and at times, debate. Because owners, design professionals, contractors, suppliers and service providers are all at the table, attendees learn from each other as much as from the presenters!

The Miami Valley Hospital project has garnered the public eye through the extensive use of prefabrication techniques. Learn the motivations behind the decision to use prefab from the owner, design professional and general contractor perspectives. Then go a step further and learn from the specialty contractors in charge of the prefab on its impact on production, safety and quality.

Especially in today’s economy business owners are looking closely at the bottom-line – from maintaining lines of credit with the bank to strengthening your surety position – and the 2011 OCC provides managers an inside look at how to position your company for economic recovery.

An issue that’s pertinent every year is working more collaboratively on a project to achieve the best result possible. Learn how NASA is working on refining the building turnover process with Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) and receive insight to the challenges facing the industry through the eyes of construction owners at the end of the Conference during Join Us at the Table: Small Group Discussions Led by Owners.
