MORPC is having a Summit on Sustainability & the Environment on Tuesday, October 6. The Summit is packed full of breakout sessions on sustainability, the environment, being green, local foods, and more. Jack Hanna of the Columbus Zoo, will give thrilling stories of exotic creatures, diverse cultures and their relationship to central Ohio – and he is bringing some of his animals along. The panel of experts from AEP, Battelle, and the Columbus Council on World Affairs will discuss local “green” initiatives that are having global impacts. MORPC will also offer special workshops on topics like climate change, local food systems, retrofitting suburbia and restoring traditional transportation mobility.
