Joint Meeting with American Concrete Institute (ACI)

Topic: OSU Main Library Renovation

The original OSU library was built in 1913. In 1952, an 11-story addition, known as the stacks tower, was built. An extensive renovation was recently undertaken that involved creative engineering and construction strategies to bring the building up to today’s standards. One of the project’s goals was to take a building that felt dark and enclosed and make it feel open and bright. The project size was approximately 300,000 square feet with a construction cost of $64,000,000. Presentations from the design and construction team will highlight these strategies with guided tours following the program.

Menu: Fajita buffet including tossed garden salad with a selection of dressings and toppings, grilled strips of chicken & beef accompanied by sautéed peppers and onions, shredded lettuce, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and cheese along with assorted cookies, coffee & iced tea.

CPD Hours: A certificate for one (1) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hour will be issued at the conclusion of the program.

Please note: Registration is limited for this event. Late registrations and walk-ins may not be accepted.
